WWE Rumor: Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns, Triple H vs. Seth Rollins Set for ‘SummerSlam’?

We are just 5 weeks away from WWE’s biggest pay-per-view events of the summer SummerSlam. Summerslam is scheduled to take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on August 20, 2017. There are two main rumors around one is about the rematch of Wrestlemania 34 between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesner and the other one is about the fight of patented “Pedigree” between Seth Rollins and Triple.

First for The Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns matches for the WWE Championship at the SummerSlam. Many people’s believes and it is also expected that Brock Lesnar will defeat Seth Rollins in the match at Battleground which is now a week away and regain the WWE Championship from Seth Rollins. Usually, when a champion loses his title, he’s granted an immediate rematch at the next pay-per-view, but it looks like SummerSlam could be the exception to the rule.

SummerSlam 2017
In the storyline, Authroity brought back the beast Brock Lesnar in the Sunday night raw just after the Money in the Bank. Authority brought Brock back to see that if their investment in Seth Rollins will pay off against the biggest and most dominant star in WWE.

According to rumors, it is expected that Triple H and Kane will walk down in the match between Lesnar and Rollins it will seem that they are going to help Rollins but they will lay him down which will cost Rollins the WWE Championship which will eventually lead to setting up a match between Triple H and Seth Rollins.

There have been reports that WWE wants to do a Lesnar vs. Reigns rematch at some point in the future, possibly as early as SummerSlam. There have also been rumors that Reigns will win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship by defeating Lesnar at the event, which was WWE’s original plan for WrestleMania earlier this year.

For what it’s worth, there have also been rumors of WWE waiting until WrestleMania 34 to do the Reigns vs. Lesnar rematch for the WWE Championship, which Reigns would win. So, if that’s the plan, the match at SummerSlam obviously isn’t happening.

Triple H vs. Seth Rollins. Most believe that it’s too early to do that match and that WWE should hold it off until WrestleMania 34. However, the plan is to do Triple H vs. The Rock at WrestleMania 34, and — due to it being The Rock’s match — there’s absolutely no way that plans are being changed. WWE also doesn’t want to do Rollins vs. Triple H at a “B-show” so if they’re going to do it, SummerSlam is the place and time.

Triple H vs Rollins would result in ending the Rollins run with the Authority and would clear off his dreams of being the WWE Champions for some time as well.
